He is the son of a demon. His right hand is the key to open the gates of hell, they call it the ‘Right Hand Of Doom‘. He is fire proof and wears a long overcoat with pent of course.

Whenever Bruce Banner gets angry he turns into a huge green monster. Only thing that remains on his body is his pent. Don’t mess with him because he is now angry, powerful and bulletproof too.

Yes, I am Groot. Although non of them has a specific costume with a logo, but they all wear a uniform before the final fight. Groot is a tree like creature who need not to wear any costume. I am Groot.  And Finally-

1. Inside Out had several different titles before finalizing Inside Out. Like- Joyless, Out of our Mind, Trouble in Mind, HeadQuarters, Life of Riley, and Down in the Dumps. Pixar animator Matt Jones even suggested the title “Joy Story” similar to Toy Story.

2. There were 27 different emotions considered for the movie. The final five were Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust and Fear. They considered Pride, Schadenfreude, Love, Hope, and Surprise. Ones that almost made the cut were Surprise, Trust and Pride.

3. The personalities of the five emotions were inspired by Snow White’s seven dwarfs.

4. Joy was initially supposed to be paired with Fear instead of Sadness.

5. Each emotion resembles a different shape. Joy is based on a star, Sadness is a teardrop, Anger is a brick, Disgust looks like broccoli, and Fear is apparently a raw nerve. As you can  see in this image below, when Joy, Sadness and Bing-Bong turns into abstract.

6. Many psychology experts were involved in the making of the movie. The writers really wanted to make sure they got certain aspects scientifically accurate. i.e, when Riley’s short-term memories were converted into long-term memories while she is asleep, this is actually happen in real life or believe to be.

7. Mary Gibbs, the voice of Boo in Monsters, Inc. gets credit in Inside Out because clips of her voice are taken from Boo and used for Riley’s voice as a toddler. Their moments and body shapes are also quite similar, even the hair band.

8. It took 4 years to complete this movie and Kaitlyn Dias was hired to be the voice of Riley when she was 11 years old. Her voice had significantly deepened during recording, so she had to adjust the tone herself to make it seem like she was still a child.

It was just a simple improvisation but one that was unsettling and darkly brilliant.

The explosion and the moment of pause was scripted but the Joker (Heath Ledger) was supposed to walk down the street while the explosion at the hospital began, get on the school bus, and the bus would drive away while the explosion finished.However, Ledger stopped walking during the pause and in a moment of improvisation began fidgeting with the remote detonator in a very Joker-esque manner – bringing a slightly dark humor to what would have just been a serious scene.

6. After the success of TV Show, Raj Comics and Daimond Comics released a series of comics on Shaktimaan in Hindi and English languages. Shaktimaan Dolls, Stickers and Costume were also the part of this franchise.

7. It is not officially confirmed but the ‘Chakra‘ or ‘Manas Chinhh’ on the chest of Shaktimaan was actually inspired from these Sun-Flower look-alike signs of Mahabharat (1988) TV Show (Check out the image below)

8. After the huge controversies of kids jumping of the roof and burning each other in order to call Shaktimaan or to be like him, Doordarshan pulled Shaktimaan off air for some time, saying its harmful for kids. 9. Beside India, Shaktimaan became famous in other countries like  Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Aakarshan Singh played the role of Aryan Sharma/Maharakshak. Main character don’t have any kind of special costume or cape like other superheroes. Aryan want to be a Radio Jockey. Show was praised for its visuals for first few episodes.

It was also said to be the first Hindi movie made in 3D.

After being abandoned he return to his village as Zokkomon. Zokkomon received overall good reviews from various critics.

Karma came in 2004. This was first Balaji Films Superhero thriller show. It only aired for one season vontains only 26 episodes. Siddharth Choudhary as Karan posses superpowers since birth but activated on his 21st birthday. Karan gain powers by seven stars (Saptrishi) which allow him to perform different kind of acts. This show was first supposed to be Kalki but later changed to Karma for unknown reasons.

8. Junior-G – Junior-G (2000)

Junior-G was aired on Doordharshan in early 2000. Story is about a boy named Gaurav, who lives with his Uncle and Auntie. One day 2 asteroids Collides in space and small part of one asteroids came to earth which Gaurav founds. That magical stone gave him superpowers and Gaurav became Junior-G. Although Junior-G had very small budget but it gained popularity between the kids. Amitesh Kochha played the Junior-G and Pramod Moutho portrayed Fyomancho alongside other character. Sonu Nigam sung the title song.

7. Aaryaman – Aaryaman : Brahmaand Ka Yoddha (2002)

Here comes another Mukesh Khanna‘s Space Fantasy about a space warrior ‘Aryaman‘. Aryaman first came on air on 14 July 2002 while Shaktiman was still going on. At that time Aryaman was most expensive TV show that came on air. I still remember when I first saw the trailer of ‘Aryaman’ on Doordarshan. Aryamaan was inspired from ‘Star War‘ movies but had a totally different story-line. Story was about Prince Aryaman who is on a quest to save whole universe. unfortunately due to budget issue Mukesh couldn’t continue as Aryaman.

6. Shahenshah – Shahenshah (1988)


How can we forget our beloved Shahenshah or his famous catch-phrase- ‘Rishte Me To Hum Tumhare Baap Lagte Hain… Naam Hai Shahenshah…‘ Although this character don’t belong to a superhero genre but still he has a alter-ego and he fights with crime. Shahenshah movie was released in 1988 and became huge hit. Vijay Shrivastav who pretends to be a corrupt Police Officer but secretly he is a Crime-Fighter vigilante. Amiatabh Bachchan was well praised for his acting as Shahenshah.

5. Vyom – Captain Vyom (1998)

Captain Vyom is the leader of a space warrior team which was established to capture 12 dangerous Space criminals. Although it was inspired from Star Trek series but way much different than that. First episode came in late 1998. It was said that ‘Captain Vyom‘ has the most beautiful cast where Milind Soman played the key character- Captain Vyom Series contains 54 episode which were praised by Indian audience. 4. Mr. India – Mr. India (1987)

Arun (Anil Kapoor) is a simple person who serves orphan kids in a house. His long lost father who was also a scientist, built a watch which can make a human invisible. After the death of one kid he has to fight the crime. With the help of that watch he avenge his house and fight with other criminals. Visual effects of the movie are still good to watch and Mr. India became cult classic.

3. G.One – Ra.One (2011)


G.One played by Shahrukh Khan is the main protagonist of movie Ra.One. In movie G.One is brought to life by Prateek (Armaan Verma) to fight Ra.One. Movie get praised for its high class visual effects. Overall movie received mixed to positive reviews. Ra.One is also one of the most expensive Bollywood movie of that time.

2. Krrish – Krrish (2006)


This character first appeared in 2006 movie of same name. Krrish was a sequel of ‘Koi… Mil Gaya (2003)’ which was basically not a Superhero movie. In that movie Rohit (Krrishna’s Father) gain some supernatural powers from an Alien and those powers transformed into Krishna when he was born. To hide his identity Krishna wears a mask and became Krrish instead. Movie is good and action sequences are praised by audience. Hritik Roshan justified the part of Krrish.

1. Shaktimaan – Shaktimaan (1997)


Shakti-Shakti-Shaktimaan… Whenever this music plays on TV it gives everybody goosebumps. It stands at no. 1 in our list. Mukesh Khanna did a great job. He put his every effort to make this happen. Many Indian superheroes came and goes before and after Shaktimaan but non could do what Shaktimaan did during it 7 year run on TV. Although we need not to tell anything about this but still- Gangadhar, a simple human being chosen by 7 Mahagurus to fight the Darkness. When 7 chakras of his Kundlini awakes he became Shaktimaan.

I bet most of you totally forget about this or even never heard of this Superhero. Way before Karma (2004), a different Karma kicks off on Doordharshan. Mayavi Nagri, a fantasy based epic TV serial which later transformed into a Superhero show Karma: Mayavi Nagri. Main protagonist died in past and reborn in future (current time) with superpowers and became Karma. Karma (Yash Tonk ) Karma: Mayavi Nagri also known for its horror-thrill plot line.
