Ninja Assassin is directed by James McTeigue and Produced by Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski. Unfortunately, this movie didn’t do much at box office at that time. But since then its became a cult favorite. In this article we will talk about some amazing facts about Ninja Assassin that you probably don’t know.

There are few things comman in both movies. Lana Wachowski and Lilly Wachowski produced both movies. Also Chad Stahelski, martial arts choreographer and stunt coordinator worked in both movies.

Stunt coordinator Chad Stahlski told Spire Magazine, ” We always kind of had a running joke with the Wachowski about making a kickass Ninja movie. We told them we found our ninja and brought Rain in to do a fight sequence and everyone was like’Holy S***! This guy is good.” Within a few months that running joke was in production as Ninja Assassin.

Many action flicks rely on stuntmen to do the heavy lifting for big set pieces. But Ninja Assassin went the other way as Rain did almost all his stunts by himself with a little wire work and special effects. Rain started training 8 hours a day 5 days a week for 8 months.

Ninja Assassin also featured some of coolest weapons ever seen in any Martial Arts film. Wachowskis wanted something very unique for the main character. So creative team came up with the idea. J. Michael Straczynski

J. Michael Straczynski is best known for his work behind Thor (2011), Underworld: Awakening (2012), World War Z (2013). Sometimes it take 2-3 months to complete an average movie. But he completed the whole script in record time of 53 Hours.

3. The personalities of the five emotions were inspired by Snow White’s seven dwarfs.

4. Joy was initially supposed to be paired with Fear instead of Sadness.

5. Each emotion resembles a different shape. Joy is based on a star, Sadness is a teardrop, Anger is a brick, Disgust looks like broccoli, and Fear is apparently a raw nerve. As you can  see in this image below, when Joy, Sadness and Bing-Bong turns into abstract.

6. Many psychology experts were involved in the making of the movie. The writers really wanted to make sure they got certain aspects scientifically accurate. i.e, when Riley’s short-term memories were converted into long-term memories while she is asleep, this is actually happen in real life or believe to be.

7. Mary Gibbs, the voice of Boo in Monsters, Inc. gets credit in Inside Out because clips of her voice are taken from Boo and used for Riley’s voice as a toddler. Their moments and body shapes are also quite similar, even the hair band.

It was just a simple improvisation but one that was unsettling and darkly brilliant.

The explosion and the moment of pause was scripted but the Joker (Heath Ledger) was supposed to walk down the street while the explosion at the hospital began, get on the school bus, and the bus would drive away while the explosion finished.However, Ledger stopped walking during the pause and in a moment of improvisation began fidgeting with the remote detonator in a very Joker-esque manner – bringing a slightly dark humor to what would have just been a serious scene.

6. After the success of TV Show, Raj Comics and Daimond Comics released a series of comics on Shaktimaan in Hindi and English languages. Shaktimaan Dolls, Stickers and Costume were also the part of this franchise.

7. It is not officially confirmed but the ‘Chakra‘ or ‘Manas Chinhh’ on the chest of Shaktimaan was actually inspired from these Sun-Flower look-alike signs of Mahabharat (1988) TV Show (Check out the image below)
